Flat rating a phone makes all local calls one price, and all long distance
calls another price. To flat rate a phone:
1. Open the phone record for the phone that will be flat rated. To do this,
click on the
2. Right-click on the name of the Current cost record; select Edit. The
3. Click the Clone button. Enter a name for the flat-rate cost record that you will make, then
click OK.

8. Decide on a price for local calls. For all the bands that are NOT disabled
(zeroes in the Init. Rate, Init. Time, Sub. Rate, and Sub. Time), that ARE between 1 and 79, and that ARE labeled Local in the Discount Table column, enter the desired local call cost information
into the Init. Rate, Init. Time, Sub. Rate, and Sub. Time fields.
9. Decide on a price for long distance calls within the United States. For all
the bands that are NOT disabled, that ARE between 1 and 79, and that ARE labeled Intra State/Intra LATA, Intra State/Inter LATA, Inter State/Inter LATA, or Inter State/Intra LATA, enter the desired long distance rates into the Init. Rate, Init. Time, Sub. Rate, and Sub. Time fields.
10. Decide on a price for calls to Canada. For all the bands that are NOT
disabled, that ARE between 1 and 79, and that ARE labeled Canada, enter the desired long distance rates into the Init. Rate, Init. Time, Sub. Rate, and Sub. Time fields.
11. Click Save, then close the window.
12. Open the phone record that will use the new flat-rate cost record and select
it in the Assigned pull-down menu of the Cost section. The next time the phone is polled, the new cost information will be
downloaded to the phone.
