Change a Route Access Number or Authorization Code

A traditionally complex and cumbersome task, changing a long distance access number or authorization code sometimes meant hours of repetitive data entry. In Panorama, though, this process has been streamlined to the point of taking seconds.

1. From the Navigator or Navbar, click Configuration and select Route Records.

2. In the Route ID pull-down menu, select the name of the record that handles call routing through the carrier in question.

3. Make the needed change.

4. Click the Save button.

The next time the effected phones are polled, this information will be updated automatically.

Note: If the code is the phone number of the payphone (the route record has the ìUse phone ANIî radio button selected), and the phoneís number changes, do not alter the Route record. In the Phone window, click the Tools button and select New Phone Number. Enter the new number and dial pattern and click OK. The next time the phone is polled, the payphone will be given its new number, and the phone will automatically fill in its number when accessing the carrier.
