Search Records by field

The Quick View window quickly finds and displays a phone record and a communication history for that phone, including Status Flags. To search for a phone record in the Quick View window:

1. Select a field to search by in the Search what Field pull-down menu. You may search by the Phone number, the Location, the Description, or any of the four User Defined Categories.

2. Type the text that appears in the field of the record you are searching for into the Search String field.* As you type, Panorama sorts the phone records and displays immediate results. The Quick View window does not look within a field for other words that match what is typed. For example, typing ìAirportî will not find the phrase ìEast Gate at Airport.î For this type of search, use the Advanced Phone Search window.

3. Select a field to use to sort the search results in the Sort Field pull-down menu. You may sort by the Phone number, the Location, the Description, or any of the four User Defined Categories. Results are sorted in ascending order.

4. Select a phone record from the list by clicking on it. The communication history, the information collected from polling this phone, is displayed in the bottom half of the window. Each time the phone and Panorama have communicated by a poll or report a record will be added to this list. If this window is open when a communication happens, click the refresh button to make the new record appear in the list. Communication records are shown from most recent to oldest.

*Note: You are not required to enter information in the fields in order for phone information to be displayed. By default, all phones appear in the first table of the Quick View Window, and are sorted based on the Sort Field. Clicking any of the phone records will display the communication history in the second table.

Locate a phone record using different search methods

Phone records may be edited by pressing the Phone button, or by double-clicking a phone record in the top table.

Changes to multiple phone records at one time may be made in the Global Edit window.

Phones may be manually polled by pressing the Poll button.

Phone Call Detail Records may be viewed by pressing the View CDR button.
