Quick View

The Quick View window is Panoramaís answer to your need to have important financial and functional information in one place ñ quickly. It can be accessed by clicking the Phones & Customers button in the Navigator or the Navbar, if the Quick View window has been chosen to open in the Preferences. Panorama displays this window by default after installation. If the Phone window is selected in the preferences, then just click the Quick View button. If the Phone List window is the result of clicking the Phones & Customers button, simply click cancel (which makes the Phone window behind it the active window) and click the Quick View button.

The Quick View window finds and displays phone records (in the first table) and a communication history (in the second table) for the phone in the list that is clicked on. For more information on using the Quick View window to search for phones, please see the topic Search Records by field. The information displayed in the communication history includes: the Date and Time of the polls to this phone; the Total To Date of coins collected by this phone, in dollars; the Cash Box Volume, in percent full; the Amount In Box, in dollars; the amount of money Collected from the phone, when appropriate; and any Status Flags. Status Flags are two-letter codes that indicate what conditions the phone has diagnosed within itself. For a complete list of these codes and an explanation of their meaning, click on the green Status Flags link above. Each new communication between the phone and the computer, no matter which of the two initiates the communication, results in a new record (row) in the communication history. Records are displayed in chronological order, with the most recent record first.

The Coin Delta is the difference in dollars between two consecutive polls. The calculation is used to determine if the recent daily earnings are drastically different than the Average per Day field, just below it. Large differences may indicate a problem with the payphone. Both the Coin Delta and the Average per Day fields use the communication history for data. The communication history is updated automatically with each poll or report. More money-critical figures produced by Panorama use Call Detail Records, which provide specific information about each call. See the topic View CDR for more information about this type of data.

Note: By default, all phones appear in the Quick View window and are sorted based on the Sort Field. Entering information in the fields is not required for phone information to be displayed.
