Route Assignments

A Call Processing record can have up to 15 coin Route records and 15 card Route records assigned to it. Route records enable the phone to send different types of calls through different carriers, perform dial correction procedures, and reroute on busy signals or no answer calls.

To open the Route Assignments window, click on the Configuration button in either the Navigator or the Navbar and select Call Processing Records from the pull-down menu that appears. Click the Route Assignments button.

The most convenient way to make route assignments is not in the Route Assignments window, but rather in the Call Processing window... Once the route records have been chosen, assign them to cost bands in the Call Processing window, in the General and Special Purpose tabs. The eight Route Assignments following the route assignment for the 0+10 band (in the General tab of the Call Processing Records window) are used for 0+ Call Type separation when option 1A5 and option 151 ñ Allow 0+ Separation by Call Type are checked. (If 0+10 is assigned route 7, then 0+ calls will be routed by Direct Routes 8 through 15, but only if the two options mentioned above are checked. If either is not checked, then 0+ calls will use the route assigned to them in the General tab of the Call Processing window. The eight routes, 8 ñ 15 in this example, will be used for processing 0+ calls by the first eight Call Types in the General tab of the Call Processing window.)

If Call Type Override is still set to Yes in the Cost window, then assign routes in the Cost window.

To open the Route Assignments window, first open the Call Processing window by choosing Call Processing Records under the Configuration button in the Navigator or the Navbar. Click the Edit Route Assignments button in this window.
